    Description

In the document https://confluence.atlassian.com/fisheye/jira-and-crowd-authentication-298976831.html the current description of the Auto-add setting is:

Select Create a FishEye user on successful login so that your JIRA users will be automatically added as a FishEye user when they first log in.

This leads to the impression that users from JIRA will be added only upon logging into FishEye, while they're actually synced just based on the groups the user selects to be synced from JIRA.
Furthermore, the second option on this setting, named Users must be added to FishEye manually gives the impression that no user will be synced into FishEye, and that every user must be added manually to be able to authenticate, just using JIRA as the authenticator. This is also wrong, since, regardless of how this setting is marked, all users on the selected groups will be synced into FishEye.

My suggestion is to adjust the description of this setting on the documentation, setting the right expectations to users using this feature.
