    Description

When configuring an external database in FishEye and specifying an existing database (which already contains data) FishEye doesn't check this database actually contains something and just overrides its data with the data from the database currently in use.

There should be some sort of warning, or even something that stops the user to migrate to a non-clean database.

      Workaround

If you are trying to update the connection details to the current database (e.g. from IP to server name), you can use the following:

      1. Stop FishEye/Crucible
      2. Edit the FISHEYE_INST/config.xml file to update the repository details
      3. Start FishEye/Crucible
