    Description

The repository configuration page for ClearCase tries to show all options for both ClearCase Base and ClearCase UCM. This results in an overly complex configuration screen that is hard to figure out.

Some of the things that are unclear or plain wrong:

      • View Location: depending on whether you select 'auto create view' the meaning of View Location differs. If auto create view is selected, it is the directory in which FishEye will create the view. If it is not selected, it should point to an existing view directory. What does this setting mean when you're indexing multiple VOBs/UCM Projects? FishEye needs a view per VOB/UCM Project, but you cannot configure this.
      • Include/Exclude VOBS: You can specify include and exclude rules at the same time. It does not make sense to do this and it's unclear what this means.
      • Include/Exclude ...: The syntax is unclear and undocumented. For vobs you need to enter vob:/vob_tag, for projects project:project_tag@/vob_tag.The UI could be easily improved.
      UCM only

When UCM is selected it's even worse:

      • VOB to include: should only contain PVOBS.
      • UCM Projects to include: if VOB to include is specified or include/exclude rules have been defined, the 'UCM Projects to include' should be limited to possible items.
