Apps Max Height limited to 1500px in issue view (atl.jira.view.issue.left.context)

    • Severity 3 - Minor

      Issue Summary

When building an app, if you set the size of the content to be displayed (e.g. the size of a web panel) in the issue view to something bigger than 1500px then scrollbars are displayed, making it difficult to navigate through the view. This is because the div around the iframe is locked to a specific height of 1500px.

Also, when resizing the view with AP.resize() and setting the value to something more than 1500px, the option to hide the app stops working.

For further details see below thread in the developers community:

      Steps to Reproduce

      1. Create an app that displays some content in the issue view (location: atl.jira.view.issue.left.context) using, e.g., a web panel
      2. Try to set the size to something more than 1500px

      Expected Results

The Web Panel should be allowed to grow in height, the main column should be larger in width (or be allowed to grow) and preferably there would be no scroll-bars for each column

      Actual Results

Web Panels have to their content in a very tight space in terms of width, can only grow in height up to so much, and multiple scroll-bars are visible in the issue view screen

      Workaround

Currently there is no known workaround for this behavior. A workaround will be added here when available
