Clients connecting to Crowd behind a proxy need an easy way to configure the proxy parameters (host, port, and possibly username/password).

Clients also wanting to tune their connection pooling behaviour should be able to modify the max number of connections manually.

These properties should reside in crowd.properties to allow client configuration.
