      Hi folks,
      Thanks for your feedback and continued support. We wanted to give you an update on the status of this issue.

      The medium-term direction of Crowd is a move towards scalability, reliability and performance. Unfortunately, it means that POSIX support is unlikely to be included in near-term improvements to the product. We understand the importance of adding additional connectors to Crowd, but will not be including this on the roadmap within the next 12 months.

      The POSIX schema (RFC 2307) makes some Unix-specific fields mandatory:

      • gidNumber
      • homeDirectory
      • uid
      • uidNumber

      When creating new users via Crowd, you can set the uid (as you set the username attribute to the uid), but there's no way to set gidNumber, homeDirectory, or uidNumber. Therefore, you cannot create new users....
