PostgreSQL 15 was released in October 2022. It would be desirable to have this supported to keep up to date with the latest PostgreSQL database versions.

As we are agile with other parts of our application, we should be so with our backend as clients will want to run the newer versions to keep up with development and features.

[CWD-6210] PostgreSQL 15 support for Crowd

Todd Penn added a comment -

Any progress on supporting PostgreSQL 15/16 (later) for crowd?

Really would be a joy to have at least PostgreSQL 15 supported by crowd.

The lack of support for PostgreSQL 15 or later is preventing several migrations for the upcoming EOL for Postgresql 13 that my team is supporting to accelerate migrations of database upgrades.

This is a big headache for me now.

I'm running production servers on RHEL 8.x.

Nowadays some products stop supporting PostgreSQL 13 on new versions, thus I start to consider upgrading PostgreSQL. However, Redhat doesn't offer PostgreSQL 14 on RHEL 8.x (in appstreams), but offers PostgreSQL 15.

In this situation, Crowd is a huge blocker for upgrading in whole production environment.

Currently, Jira and Confluences supports PostgreSQL 15. Atlassian guys, why don't you support PostgreSQL 15 for Crowd?
