    XMLWordPrintable

Details

    Description

      Issue Summary

The color contrast of few standard text inside the table was found insufficient, i.e., less than 4.5:1.

      Steps to Reproduce

      1. Open the "Assign user to group" page.
      2. Navigate onto the mentioned instances.
      3. Use the CCA testing tool to check the color contrast of the text.
      4. Observe that color contrast fails the minimum ratio of 4.5:1.

      Actual Results

The text such as "Name", "Username", "Email", and "Status" in the table header in the main content area fails the minimum color contrast ratio i.e., 4.5:1.

      • FG: #7A869A
        BG: #FFFFFF
        Ratio: 3.7:1

The placeholder text such as "Add users..." in the input field in the main content area fails the minimum color contrast ratio i.e., 4.5:1.

      • FG: #7A869A
        BG: #FFFFFF
        Ratio: 3.4:1

The text such as "no options" or "loading" that appears after typing something in the input field in the main content area fails the minimum color contrast ratio i.e., 4.5:1.

      • FG: #999999
        BG: #FFFFFF
        Ratio: 2.8:1

This will make it difficult for people with low vision and color blindness to read standard text elements that have insufficient contrast.

      Expected Results

On all pages, ensure that each foreground/background color combination presents a contrast ratio of at least 4.5:1 for standard text.

A color contrast analyzer can be downloaded from Color Contrast Checker - TPGi

      Workaround

Currently there is no known workaround for this behavior. A workaround will be added here when available.
