    • Our product teams collect and evaluate feedback from a number of different sources. To learn more about how we use customer feedback in the planning process, check out our new feature policy.

A new feature to delegate group administration to users is available in upcoming 3.3 version but restricted to DataCenter license.

Please make it available also to Server version.

@Marek Thanks for update however it is a very disappointing one and, given the number of people interested in this issue in both this issue and the other one and also the length of time to get that update, I believe that further commentary is required as to the why of that decision.

On the face of it the decision doesn't look good for Atlassian as it looks like you have changed into a company that is only concerned with money rather than the needs of your customers given its pushing anyone who needs this functionality to a subscription based licensing scheme rather than one that people could perpetually use.

Also its a worrying trend from Atlassian - we are already seeing functionality that is only making it to the Cloud versions of Atlassian software but now we are also seeing the same thing happening with Server vs Data Center. It's very concerning as a Server user to see all this happening and does make the Atlassian offering less desirable as you never know if Atlassian are one day just going to stop giving Server customers the new features that they need.

As a final point it seems to me that you should be renaming all of the "Data Center" products to be called "Enterprise" if that is the rationale behind only making these type of completely non-Data Center related features only available in the Data Center products.

Is there an update to this issue? We are looking forward to this feature for the regular Server version.

We will (hopefully) grow and upgrade to 500 user tier, but not ready to install Datacenter and use clustering yet.

This is just a proxy to AD, there still a single point of failure.

            Hello Marek,

Can you give us (customers using and paying server licenses) some feedback ?
