    Description

      From the following documentation:

Under the title Presenting Flattened Lists of Users to Integrated Applications :

Integrated applications may ask Crowd for a list of members in a group. Crowd will present all users who are members of the group and all users belonging its sub-groups, consolidated into one list. We call this list a 'flattened' group. This is necessary because many integrated applications do not understand the concept of nested groups. For that reason, Crowd makes the nesting transparent to integrated applications.

It's nowhere stated that in order for nested groups to be identified and searched in Crowd side, the application itself (such as Confluence) will need to specify to "enable nested groups". It's quite misleading as readers would think that Nested Group Membership is enabled automatically

It'll be great if we can add that information in that statement, for example:

"Integrated applications may ask Crowd for a list of members in a group. Crowd will present all users who are members of the group and all users belonging its sub-groups, consolidated into one list. We call this list a 'flattened' group. This is necessary because many integrated applications do not understand the concept of nested groups. For that reason, Crowd makes the nesting transparent to integrated applications. - This is true once Nested Group has been enabled in the respective integrated applications"
