2019-04-02 16:17:59,169 Caesium-2-1 WARN [atlassian.crowd.directory.DbCachingRemoteChangeOperations] Could not add the following missing users to group [ access_group ]: [myusername.test]
This message is logged (in this instance) 1100 times an hour and pertains to an issue that doesn't seem to be:
- Something to be concerned about
- Something that can be addressed/changed
Environment
- Active Directory
- Crowd 2.11.1
- Bitbucket Server 4.13.0
Replication Steps
- There are 2 users
- In Active Directory, both users were in a group
- Crowd pulls all users in the group into a directory using the ActiveDirectory sync via an LDAP filter
- The users are synced to Crowd
- BitBucket is an application in Crowd mapped to the directory and allows anyone in the group to authenticate. Neither of these users were ever in the group
- The users were synced through to BitBucket and their group membership was configured correctly.
- As they were not a member of the group, they were never granted a license (expected, we use the same directory to map to JIRA, Confluence and other applications where they are licensed)
- 1 user/AD account was set to expire end of December, 2016
- 30 days after that her AD account was removed from all AD groups (her account in AD is not disabled though)
- Another user/AD account was set to expire early July, 2016
- 30 days after that her AD account was set to Disabled and removed from all AD groups
- In Crowd, neither of the users show up (as expected) as they're not in the group anymore, so their accounts do not sync
- In BitBucket they show nowhere in the UI.
- In the Bitbucket Server database the user is only found in the sta_normal_user table (expected)
Expected Results
After the db backed cache is updated these users should no longer be referenced and nothing should be logged regarding not being to add these users to a group
Actual Results
These users are mentioned in every day's log in a list of users that can't be added to a group
