A disabled group still counts towards the Crowd license, even though no user from that group would be able to log into the mapped application.
Steps to replicate
- Create a new application in Crowd
- Create a group in the Crowd Internal Directory called Test
- Create a new user in the Crowd Internal Directory and add this user to the Test group
- Go to the new application we've just created and set the Crowd Internal Directory Allow all to authenticate as false under the Directories tab
- Now under the Groups tab of this application add the Test group to allow authentication
- Check under the Crowd Licensing (recalculate if needed) how many users are counting
- Now go the the Test group and disable the Test group
- Now under the Crowd Licensing make sure to recalculate
Expected Results
License count would exclude users from that group since they are not able to log into that application, just as it is when we disable a directory.
Current results
The new user is still counting towards the license, even though right now no user will be able to log into the new application.
