Updating a users credentials in ApacheDS is causing login attempts to fail.
The current assumption is that we are setting the password as clear text in ApacheDS when updating a Principals credentials when this should be set using the encryption configured for the given ApacheDS instance.

I can confirm that passwords can be changed without restarts when using ApacheDS 1.5.7.
