Description
This is an enhancement of existing Crowd feature which allows to include a successfully authenticated user to the specified groups.
Having
user1 to be included in group1 upon successful login in Jira (or any atlassian application)
user2 to be included in group2 upon successful login in Jira
In crowd I have
directory1 which includes user1 in group1 upon a successful login
directory2 which includes user2 in group2 upon a successful login
The request is to have something like
http://crowd/jira/dir1 which would login a user in jira upon successfully authenticated against dir1. This login operation would include user in group1 as configured in crowd for dir1
http://crowd/jira/dir2 which would login a user in jira upon successfully authenticated against dir2. This login operation would include user in group3 as configured in crowd for dir2
The rationale of this request is to be able to include users in different groups automatically, with no management involved. This is currently available for crowd, but it's limited to be able to add a user in a single group since the login to jira is a single point of access. This request is allowing multiple point of access to a tool through crowd:
http://crowd/jira/dir1
http://crowd/jira/dir2
etc.
which would allow to specify different groups a user would be included upon a successful authentication.
This request is the result of CWDSUP-5337
