Currently, "remember me" / "auto login" has to be handled on the client side.

It would be nice is this was a feature of the server so that all clients (applications) can make use of the functionality, eg. clients could have a "remember me" checkbox on their login page - this parameter would passed to Crowd and the Crowd server can handle the auto login.

Clients should be able use this feature via SOAP and as a convenience method in the Java HttpAuthenticator.

This is effecting our Crowded JIRA/Fisheye/Crucible/Bamboo setup on limewire.org. See support ticket FSH-2726 for details. Right now, when a user starts a new session they need to navigate to the application they chose 'remember me' with in order to be re-logged in. For example, if I choose to login with 'remember me' on Bamboo, if I start a new session by navigating to JIRA I am not logged in. (But, if I start a session by navigating to Bamboo I will be logged in, and stay logged in when I then navigate to JIRA.)

This would be a nice feature to have for Studio, we are currently implementing a hack so that FishEye honours the seraph remember me token from JIRA.
