Apache Tomcat port settings not being honoured via Crowd log entries

      Changes to the port settings in $CROWD/apache-tomcat/conf/server.xml are not reflected in the Crowd logs:

      Both the application.login.url and crowd.server.url are using the original port number of 8095 instead of 8096.

            Note this was form the first launch of Crowd, so no baseurl was set as no data was in the crowd home directory.

            Why not get the port from the Application Container?

            This is equivalent to changing the port in tomcat, starting JIRA and expecting JIRA to work properly with a misconfigured base url (if it referenced a port number).

            Crowd runs from a crowd.properties file located in the home directory of the product. This file is core to the product and what is being referenced in the logs.

            FYI, you can pass all the values in this file to crowd, including the location of the file via system properties.
