As I administer the configuration of various application services (such as Jira and Confluence etc.) I would like to let my users know about it. Unfortunately my Crowd group information is not available in my corporate email system (in my case, Lotus Notes) and it is too large to enter manually.

What I would like to have is the ability to create an ad-hoc email for system notices (text-only is good enough) within crowd and email it out to one or more groups (duplicate emails should be pruned)

This need could also be satisfied with some way to export user group data to all possible email systems (but I think that might be a bit prohibitive given the sheer number of mail systems out there)

I personally would be OK with only crowd-administrators getting to use the email notice facility, but it might be OK to have some way to allow other groups to be allowed to do the same.
