Allow Admins to add more fields to Internal Directories and fetch more attributes from LDAP in order to provide a more complete user data set to the Integrated Applications.
Currently, Crowd provides to the Applications: Login and Password, First and Last Names, Email.
Would be good to be able to create more fields in an Internal Directory and then make the data available to the Integrated Applications.
The same for the LDAP Connectors. All the LDAP attributes shall be available and editable from the APPs.

As implied by the resolution: no, this feature is not available in newer versions of Crowd.

added a comment - Can we please get an update on how this feature request is moving along? Per the comment concerning "should in 2010", this functionality will play a big part in whether we purchase Crowd as our LDAP solution or look elsewhere for alternatives.

It's on our medium-term roadmap. This means that it's not going to happen in 2009, but should in 2010. We're planning on making it much easier to pull information from your corporate LDAP for display in JIRA and Confluence, but there's a bunch of work that we need to do first in the products to enable this.

Too bad this won't be implemented. Any chance this will be reopened and implemented in a new version of Crowd?
We have a lot of users in our systems and lots of Atlassian applications. We'd love to be able to map fields like position, department, phone number etc... from LDAP via Crowd to all our systems.
