RemoteDirectory requires a more advanced search API to replace the current SearchContext approach used in the SecurityServer

    • Our product teams collect and evaluate feedback from a number of different sources. To learn more about how we use customer feedback in the planning process, check out our new feature policy.

      Currently the SearchContext approach used for searching in Crowd is very poor and ill defined.

      We need a better approach that is:

      1. Type Safe
      2. Can handle AND OR queries
      3. Can support nested queries.

            This has now been implemented on the RemoteDirectory interface and we have included a QueryBuilder class to help developers create queries.

            Look at the linked issue for when we will be exposing this improved search API in the SOAP API.
