The client caches are case-sensitive. LDAP directories are case-insensitive with respect to user/group/role names. Internal directories are case-sensitive but only allow lower case usernames.
Going forward it makes more sense to have case-insensitive client cache to ensure compatibility with LDAP schemas and consistent with the internal directory. This allows a user to "Bill" in an LDAP directory to be found even if a user enters "bill".
