      Symptoms:
Attempting to add or remove a user from a group whose DN contains results in an error.

The implementation of the CompositeName class in JDK1.5 has a bug where it over-escapes the backslash. We currently believe the issue needs to be fixed at the spring-ldap level rather than in Crowd. The relevant issue keys is LDAP-109.

After upgrading to 2.0 the problems were not reproducible any more.
