Auto save seems to have a number of issues:-

• if you highlight and copy a section of a comment and try and paste it in FF2 (linux) the copy and paste is messed up (it copies too much/too little and can paste in the wrong place)
• the cursor disappears on first save (and can move around the comment in an unexpected way)
• we have draft comments appearing in reply email notifications
• draft comments that are discarded not being deleted
• the save button is almost always disabled when you go to click it due to timing of auto save from last change, it tends to conincide with the time you take to finish a comment then want to hit save.

I have left the title here general so we can create sub issues.

It would be nice to be able to disable autosave if you don't want it.
