      Problem Definition

When performing a code review, clicking anywhere on a text line opens up the inline comment box. The click could be an attempt to highlight the particular code for discussion purposes during a review, or may be done accidentally when scrolling through the code due to a faulty laptop mouse pad.

As a user, I would like to be able to disable this functionality for my user profile.

      Suggested Solution

Allow users to disable the inline commenting to assist them to best navigate and work within the tool.

Alternatively, a hover option off to the side of the line number could allow the user to launch the inline comment box.

      Workaround

When viewing the diff, users can select FishEye from the drop down and select View File Diff. This will transition the user from the Crucible review diff to the FishEye review diff and allow the user to highlight text without any additional comment boxes loading.
