Pressing 'r' for reply in a comment thread replies to the top comment and not the current one

Create a comment thread with two comments. Move to the last comment using 'n' and 'p' on the keyboard. Press 'r' to reply to the comment. Now a comment field is opened for the first comment and not the second one. I'd expected that I would reply to the selected comment.

I've attached a screenshot of the situation right before I press 'r'.
