Recently my Crucible corrupted its own config.xml through the following steps:

1] Fill up the disk to (almost) capacity.
2] Issue a shutdown command to Crucible.
3] Crucible rewrites the config.xml file. But hits a disk full error half way through the write.
4] Crucible terminates, leaving config.xml half written. As a result, Crucible cannot start up again.
