This is quite important at QAD as we mark a lot of our XML files to be binary; otherwise if we don't Subversion will merge XML changes incorrectly. There is a SVN open defect but nothing indicates that is fixed or will be fixed soon. Is there a way to enable diffing of binary files? There might be other reasons why people mark files as binary like for performance reasons in case the file(s) are large.
