The indexing activities are time-consuming, and storing the index snapshot in a ZIP file format may require quite some space. This is always a trade-off. 

Customers without storage space restrictions may be interested in a lower compression level to reduce the time required to create the compressed Lucene snapshot file, thereby reducing the overall reindexing task timings. 

Suggested Solution

Introduce a new system property that allows tuning the ZIP compression level when using Lucene configuration
