Description
When a user attempts to edit content and scrolls down to make changes, the interface automatically scrolls back up, disrupting the editing process. This bug negatively impacts user experience by making it difficult to edit content effectively.
Steps to Reproduce
- Open Confluence using Firefox or Chrome browser.
- Create a page long enough to not fit on a screen, with several headers and a sidebar at the right.
- Save the page.
- Open the page in editing mode.
- Scroll down the page until the last header.
- Click right above the last header.
- Observe that the interface automatically scrolls back up, making it hard to continue editing, forcing the user to scroll down page again.
Acceptance Criteria
- The editing interface should maintain the user's scroll position when entering edit mode.
- Users should be able to scroll down and edit without the interface automatically scrolling back up.
- The issue should be tested across different browsers to ensure consistent behavior.
