This High severity com.hazelcast:hazelcast Dependency vulnerability was introduced in versions 3.7 of Confluence Data Center and Server.
This com.hazelcast:hazelcast Dependency vulnerability, with a CVSS Score of 7.6 and a CVSS Vector of CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:L/A:L allows an authenticated attacker to expose assets in your environment susceptible to exploitation which has high impact to confidentiality, low impact to integrity, low impact to availability, and requires no user interaction.
Atlassian recommends that Confluence Data Center and Server customers upgrade to latest version, if you are unable to do so, upgrade your instance to one of the specified supported fixed versions:
- Confluence Data Center and Server 7.19: Upgrade to a release greater than or equal to 7.19.22
- Confluence Data Center and Server 8.5: Upgrade to a release greater than or equal to 8.5.9

The National Vulnerability Database provides the following description for this vulnerability: In Hazelcast through 4.1.10, 4.2 through 4.2.8, 5.0 through 5.0.5, 5.1 through 5.1.7, 5.2 through 5.2.4, and 5.3 through 5.3.2, some client operations don't check permissions properly, allowing authenticated users to access data stored in the cluster.
