Issue Summary
When you select "Components" as a "Statistic Type" in the "Issue Statistics" macro, the results are not correct. They count each component as an issue, returning the incorrect number of total issues. E.g: if an issue has 3 components, this issue will count as 3 in the total issues number.
This is reproducible on Data Center: Yes
Note that this is a bug in Jira, tracked in JRASERVER-24470
Steps to Reproduce
- Create a project in Jira
- Create a few components
- Create a few issues with multiple components
- Go to a Confluence page in the edit mode
- Add the Issue Statistics macro
- Add a filter of the Jira project
- In the field Statistic Type, select Components
- Save the Macro
- See the results
Expected Results
The correct number of issues
Actual Results
The Total issues count is incorrect. The issues are added multiple times when it is part of multiple components.
Also note that the Percentage shown for each type is also incorrect.
Notes:
This is not specific to Components. If is true for other options as well. Example, if the type is selected as Label with multiple Label on the same issue, are counted multiple times.
Workaround
Currently there is no known workaround for this behavior. A workaround will be added here when available
