All other pages show what links to it, either using trackbacks or what have you under the title "Incoming Links" and allow you to "(more)" for a hierarchy of links. When you goto a profile page user you dont get that.
As we are using it as a documentation platform and a company policy resource, we link alot to personnel. If a person was to leave the company or change job roles it would be useful to be able to goto the profile and see what links there are to this person directly. We could then easily update the pages.
Im sure there are other uses to having link tracking on a user - eg: if they were to be mentioned as an author or given credit a user could find out where his name is mentioned.
