Summary

It would be good to have a Disk space alert/warning before reindex is kicked off in Confluence. This will help the user to free up adequate space before reindex is started. 

At the moment, the error occurs only during propagation stage. If there is a warning before reindex process is started, it will save time from user's perspective in an out-of-disk space reindex failure scenario.
