Issue Summary
Live Search Macro fails to open attachments if the attachment filename has special characters such as & ,
Steps to Reproduce
- Create a Space > Page
- Attach any pdf file where the name of the file has special characters such as & ,
- Example file name
AVIK&,HAZRA_Vi.pdf
- Example file name
- Now add the Live Search Macro and modify the macro settings providing the space key name and other details as mentioned in the attached screenshot ( Modifying the settings for live search macro is optional )
- Publish the page now.
- Now start typing the file name inside the live search macro box where the file name automatically appears
- Now select the file and you will see the "Page Not Found" error as I shared in the attachment and the file does not get downloaded
- This problem does not occur with files that don't have any special characters
You will get the page not found error.
Expected Results
The file should get downloaded automatically
Actual Results
Page Not Found Error comes up
Workaround
- If you notice the URL for the Page Not Found, you will see something like this -
http://localhost:21911/c71911/download/attachments/3407876/AVIK%2526%252CHAZRA_Virtus.pdf?version=1&modificationDate=1710504114431&api=v2
- The URL has a numeric number 25
AVIK%2526%252CHAZRA
- The URL has a numeric number 25
- Removing the number 25 from the URL and pressing enter downloads the attachment successfully
