Documentation for these macros was added to the notation guide in CONF-7621, but as far as I can tell, they still aren't documented on CAC.

We should document these macros. It should just be a matter of grabbing the relevant section from the notation guide (or from CONF-7621, where Agnes seems to have pasted it in a comment.)
