Currently, the 500 page shows a lot of information, but only parts of it (like the stacktrace) show up in the log. Since users might close the window, the information gets lost. It might be retrievable later on, but the system might have changed by then (e.g. the bug was due to a unsupported plugin, but by the time the customer sends a support request, he might have disabled the plugin and forgotten about it).
