      Dear Support,

We are now at Confluence Server version : 7.19.9 and we are planning to migrate to Confluence Data Center. While creating a plan to migrate we are using Macro Usage to understand how the installed Add-ons are being used and if we can deinstall some as we might not use them at all. For this we were utilizing the functionality of Macro Usage. We found that we could use some additional statistics within the Macro Usage functionality.

      Macro Usage

In Macro Usage you can see Used and Unused Macro's along with the number of pages they are used grouped by add-on. If a macro can be used on confluence pages one can drill down to the pages on which it is used.

What we think can help enrich the functionality of Macro Usage, especially for admins, is:

      • Include 2 columns next to the column of pages to show the latest page creation date and the latest modify date of that page. Why is this een enrichment? Because then the admin can see if the plugin was recently used or not in one instance. Ofcourse this could also be done by going trough the pages in the drill down, this however can be very time consuming if the plugin macro's are used in many pages.
      • Another thing to consider is that there are macro's which are of different types Macro's which can be used on pages and Macro's which are not used on pages. There might even be other types of macro's. One might consider a column in which the different types of the macro's are shown per macro.

I have found other tickets concerning Macro Usage:

      CONFSERVER-26332
      CONFSERVER-12976
      CONFSERVER-10572

I hope this helps and can be implemented soon.

      Kind regards,
