    • Severity 2 - Major

      Problem

Users are unable to edit the space permission even though they are the space administrator. Only the system admin can edit the space permission.

      Environment

      • Confluence 8.5.1

      Steps to Reproduce

      1. Install Confluence 8.5.1 DC.
      2. Logged in to Confluence as an administrator.
      3. Add a new user (e.g., test1) to the confluence-users group.
      4. Logged in as the test user.
      5. Create a space (regardless of the space type).
      6. Click on the space tool > Permissions.
      7. Click on the Edit Permissions button.

The demo video is attached, this function is not working, even in a personal space:

      Expected Results

The space administrator should be able to edit the permission after the authentication.

      Actual Results

      Not Permitted

      Workaround
