Summary
Currently, admins can restrict the ability for users to view analytics reports on the site through the General Configuration > Analytics Permissions page or Space-specific restrictions can also be set in Space tools > Permissions > Analytics Permissions.
By default, all users that have access to a space can access its analytics.
By default, all logged in users can view the Analytics option in the header, and access analytics data for spaces they have permissions to see. Anonymous users can't view analytics.
This means that if you need to set analytics granular permissions by space, you will need to go to each space, change the permission to restricted, and then add the users/ groups. In a setup where you have hundreds or thousands of spaces, it's not practical.
Proposed feature
Create a granular space permission for Site Admins to set each space analytics permission or change the default permissions for all spaces analytics.
Why This Is Important
When global analytics permissions is not suitable, changing analytics permission by manually navigating to Space A> Space tools > Permissions > Analytics Permissions. can be very time-consuming.
