I'm sure someone will have already raised this but could not find any existing issue with it mentioned.

It would be a dream if it were possible to upload a load of icons to the server and then have the ability to choose which icon to represent a page with. Also, to be able to set a default icon for templates (so pages made with that template would get the icon but you could still override it on the page).

It would be even better that if you had a link to a page which used the page title as the displayed text on the link, if the icon would appear next to it.

eg. If page title was "fish" then...

[fish] would show icon + fish, both hyperlinked to page

[kipper|fish] would just show kipper hyperlinked to page, no icon

Obviously, if no icon specified then no icon in the link regardless.

The ability to set an icon for a page would enable a visual cue to be given as to what sort of page it is. For example, I might create a page with a load of links on it so I'd want a link icon, or a page with a load of files in it with a disk icon, etc.
