The steps to Configuring System Properties do not include the necessary step of Restarting Confluence.

Why?

• Many Customers unaware of this step, will think that the changes done to the System properties should immediately take effect after the script is saved. The issue remains the same. they open a Ticket with support or their production is impacted, etc.

This is a documentation that is used by thousands of Confluence users every day. It should include all details.

Suggestion

Add (Restart Confluence) as a last step. or add a note like the one below:
Note that Confluence needs to be restarted for changes to take effect.

Or anything that will make it clear to the customer as well as inform the customer about the downtime required.
