Following the end of server life, please consider making lower Confluence Data Center tiers available for small businesses, teams and personal use for below 10 users where cloud is not a feasible option due to security concerns.

The self-hosted version of Confluence is a great product. It is not easy to be replaced by other products. I am using Confluence for about 15 years and my own instances for more than 10 years. Thousands of pages are in there being updated every day.

Besides our business Confluence instance, I also use a private one to manage all my personal and family data. Like in the business Confluence, the private one contains sensitive data I don't want to move to any cloud service. For instance financial data, tax reports and access keys. My private instance is only accessible in my isolated intranet.

Besides the security concerns, I had a look at the cloud version. Additional problems are the lack of apps we rely on and slower performance compared to our local server.

It's sad the updates will end next year. I hope there will be at least security updates to keep this final version running as long as possible. Hopefully, there will be once a good self-hosted replacement where we can migrate to.
