      Issue Summary

      New line will be removed when replacing with Japanese characters in Code block.
      This is not happened with English characters in Code block.

      This is reproducible on Data Center: yes

      Steps to Reproduce

      Confluence 7.19.3

      1. Step 1: Create the page with Japanese characters in Code blocks. Storage format: before.txt
      2. Step 2: Replace the Japanese characters.
      3. Step 3: Some of the new lines will be removed. Storage format: after.txt

      reproduce-video.mp4

      Expected Results

      The new lines are not removed when replacing with Japanese characters in Code blocks

      Actual Results

      The new lines are removed when replacing with Japanese characters in Code blocks

      Workaround

      Currently there is no known workaround for this behavior. A workaround will be added here when available
