Problem
Confluence attachment are currently not cached https://confluence.atlassian.com/doc/use-a-cdn-with-atlassian-data-center-applications-976771361.html#UseaCDNwithAtlassianDataCenterapplications-Whatiscached?:~:text=What%20is%20cached%3F%C2%A0,-We%20only%20cache.
This can cause often a slow access to them when connecting to Confluence from a different geographies.
Suggested Solution
One possible approach will be to have the attachment stored in a multi-region S3 bucket. Confluence instead of serving the attachment, will return the s3 link and then AWS will serve the file from the location closest to the customer.
Why This Is Important
This feature will allow better performances in term of accessing attachment for Confluence instances accessed from different location worldwide.
Workaround
Store attachments on a Cloud storage solution and link these in the Confluence page.
