Problem
When a page containing excerpt macro with some content is displayed via Children Display macro, the excerpt data is not shown.
Environment
Confluence 8.1.1
Steps to Reproduce
1. Create a page with multiple children like shown below. The title of the parent page in the below sample is Children Display and Excerpt Macro:
2. In the above example, the last child page "Excerpt Display Macro" contains an Excerpt Display Macro setting like below, where we have added some excerpt value for the page. Ensure that the hide content option is not checked.
3. Create a new unrelated page (in the example it is : Testing Child Display Macro)and add Children display macro into this page. For the Parent page value, provide the page Children Display and Excerpt Macro. Also ensure that Number of children value is set to 5 and depth of descendants is set to 3
4. The expectation now is that for the page Testing Child Display Macro, we should be able to see the tree structure of pages for page titled : Children Display and Excerpt Macro. This is working fine. But for the child page Excerpt Display Macro we would expect to see the content specified inside the excerpt display macro. But the following is what we notice. We only see the title of the page and not the excerpt content.
Expected Results
The excerpt from Page : Excerpt Display Macro should be shown via the Children Display Macro along with other child pages . This article explains the usage of these macros.
Actual Results
The excerpt information from page is not shown via Children display macro
