recently-updated throws NullPointerException when no pages with label found

    • Type: Bug
    • Resolution: Fixed
    • Priority: Medium
    • 2.5
    • Affects Version/s: 2.3
    • Component/s: None
    • Environment:

      Using the following macro:

      {recently-updated:spaces=*|labels=nowhere_used_or_defined|types=page}

      with the label "no_where_used_or_defined" literately nowhere used or defined in confluence

      In the preview pane the following is mentioned:

      Error rendering macro: java.lang.NullPointerException

      After saving the page you get the following result: a page gets displayed showing only the title, with no option what so ever to undo/edit the page afterwards. (see attachment) Espacially the inability to undo/edit the page afterwards is most annoying thing. Unless you know which label is causing the problem the only option a normal user has, is to delete the space and rebuild from crash. This is not a graceful way to handle an exception.

      The workaround is to make sure that there is always at least one page with this label. But this case should be handled.
