Problem
Creating a table in the Confluence Page editor and extending the width of a specific Column will result in different results whether the page is edited or viewed.
Environment
Reproduced in 7.19.7 LTS and 7.13.10 LTS
Steps to Reproduce
- Create a new Confluence Page
- Use the storage format attached to this ticket to add such a new table to your Confluence Page
- Extend the 3rd column so that all the header text is displayed in one single line in Edit Mode
- Publish the Page
Expected Results
- The table width extension as displayed in Page Edit mode should match the Table displayed after the page is published/updated
.
Actual Results
- The table format is not consistent between page Edit and View mode
. As you can see the header title can be on multiple lines instead of 1.
Workaround
- Tweak the page content in edit mode until a satisfactory outcome is displayed whilst Viewing the page.
- If you require precise fixed column widths, you have the option to disable the impacting feature.
-
- Log into Confluence administration on this direct URL https://<confluence-base-url>/admin/darkfeatures.action
-
- Add in a line at the bottom confluence-table-enhancements.sticky-headers.disabled and press Submit
Remember to remove the confluence-table-enhancements.sticky-headers.disabled dark feature once this issue is resolved
