When inserting a link please include the option to open that link within the same browser tab. After a bit of research I did not find any possible way to do this.

It is a very infuriating and annoying user experience to click through various nicely designed and linked subpage and suddenly having 7 unnecessary wiki tabs.

This change would greatly improve navigation and usability when moving through internal subpages.
