Search - Advanced Search : Form elements must have labels

    Description

      Issue Summary

      Form elements must have labels

      Steps to Reproduce

      1. Navigate to the confluence homepage.
      2. Navigate to the Search image button inside the header section & activate it.
      3. Navigate to the 'Advanced search' link inside the search modal & activate it.
      4. Navigate to the  Add filter link in the left sidebar and activate the LABEL form controls.

      Actual Results

While navigating with the screen reader turned on, when the user navigates to the Label form controls screen reader announces as 'search text field' because the visual label is not correctly associated with input fields. The id & for values provided are different for input & label elements.

This makes screen reader users difficult to understand the purpose of these input fields.

      Expected Results

The screen reader should announce the labels when the user navigates to the Label form controls. Associate the labels to the input fields explicitly via for & id relation. The values of the 'for' attribute of labels should be the same as the value of the 'id' attributes of input fields.

      Workaround

Currently there is no known workaround for this behavior. A workaround will be added here when available
