Summary

As a confluence user, I would like to be able to embed videos hosted on Microsoft SharePoint within confluence pages.

Problem Statement

The Widget Connector already has support for embedding videos from Microsoft Streams (Classic) (via CONFSERVER-58317).  Microsoft has since renamed "Streams" to "Streams (Classic)", and has started rolling out "Streams (on SharePoint)" as a replacement.   In "Streams (on SharePoint)" videos are accessed via SharePoint, as the name implies.      Unfortunately, the Widget Connector does not currently support embedding videos from SharePoint.

Suggested Resolution

Add the ability to embed videos hosted on SharePoint to the Widget Connector.

Workaround

Use an iframe to embed videos from sharepoint.  However, this is not ideal.
