Macro suggestions (using “{“ key ): Inappropriate list mark up present inside “macro suggestions” options.

Details

    Description

      Issue Summary

In "macro suggestion" options, each option has a different list provided, so the screen reader will announce a separate list for every option available in "macro suggestion", which is meant to be under single ordered list.

      Steps to Reproduce

      1. Launch the URL
      2. Edit the page.
      3. Goto the edit input field and use the keyboard shortcut "{", then observe that  the "Macro suggestion" dialog pops up.

       Actual Results

When users navigate to the input field and use the shortcut "{" then a dialog pops up "Macro suggestion", while navigating through the options such as "Info", "Status", "Gallery", "Table of content" and "open macro browser" gets announced by the screen reader as two separate lists. These options are coded into two different ordered list elements. As a result, screen reader users find it difficult to understand the information effectively.

      Expected Results

The options such as "Info", "Status", "Gallery", "Table of content" and "open macro browser" should be announced in one list markup. The options should be coded into a single unordered list element. On the basis of appropriate list mark-up, the screen reader should announce the beginning and end of a list. This helps users in interpreting the information effectively.

      Workaround

Currently, there is no known workaround for this behaviour. A workaround will be added here when available
